Boosie Won’t Stop Misgendering Dwayne Wade’s Daughter In An Interview
Written by Broadcast HipHop Network on February 27, 2020
Boosie Badazz recently has spoken out about his feelings on Dwyane Wade’s 12-year-old transgender daughter. He ranted on his Instagram giving his personal opinions while misgendering Zaya by calling her Dwade’s son. He recorded the video in a Planet Fitness, where “No Judgement Zone” is their motto. He ended up getting banned from the establishment, and continued to rant on and misgender their child. The rapper also claimed that the gym had roaches and were also racist.
Boosie recently sat down with Baller Alert to address this situation and was asked why he decided to give his opinion on such a delicate topic and continue to misgender her while he doesn’t even have a relationship with the family.
“You received backlash for your statements about Dwyane Wade’s daughter,” said the interviewer, before she could finish Boosie cut her off, correcting her and referring to Zaya as Wade’s “son.”
“That’s just how I felt. People gotta understand that’s how I feel… Even my momma got on my ass yesterday. My momma called me early in the morning and got on my a**, talkin’ about, ‘Stay off social media! That’s they family! You stay out people’s business.'”
“I feel like they’re ganging up on me now. I should’ve shut my ass up. Everything happens for a reason. A lot of people feel what I said, completely. I got a lot of bad backlash, but I got a lot of people who feel the same way.”
Boosie doesn’t know Dwyane Wade on a personal level and after all of this he probably never will. Watch below after 1:50.
